Ingredients

1 TBS. yeast dissolved in ¼ c. warm water

Combine these next four ingredients and cool to lukewarm:
¾ c. scalded milk
3 TBS. Crisco
2 TBS. sugar
1 ½ tsp. salt

Into this last mixture: add 1 egg beaten, and the yeast mixture
Add 2 ½ –3 c. flour gradually and mix until silky

Knead and put into a bowl and let it rise

Roll into ½ inch skinny strips about 6–8 inch long

Dip these strips into cooled melted butter and then dip into the cinnamon & sugar mixture:
Sugar Mixture:
¾ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
¾ c. chopped nuts
In two 8" or one 12" round pans, start in the middle and make a braided rug with the dough.

Directions

Let it rise again and bake at 350 for 25–30 minutes

When it is done, glaze it with powdered sugar and milk and vanilla extract mixture that is runny and drizzle it all over it. It is yummy!!!!!
