1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
1 ½ cup lukewarm water
2 eggs beaten
½ cup vegetable oil
5–6 cups Hot Roll Mix* (see below)
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. coarse salt
Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets. In a large bowl dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Blend in eggs and oil or margarine. Add 5 cups Hot Roll Mix. Stir well. Add additional Hot Roll Mix to make a soft but not too sticky dough. Kneed about 5 minutes until smooth. Roll into ropes @ ½ inch by 18–24" long & form into a pretzel shape. Brush top with egg & sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake @ 425 degrees for 12–15 minutes. Makes about 12–15 pretzels.
