Chocolate Chip Butter Cookies

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 egg
1 ½ tsp. vanilla and mix together.
1 cup semi–sweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
½ cup chopped nuts
Directions
Sift together the flour, baking powder & salt. Then cream together the butter and sugars then add the eggs a mix. Add dry ingredients and then chocolate chips and nuts if desired. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes abt. 3 ½ doz. cookies.
