Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients

¾ Cup shortening
1 ½ Cup sugar
2 eggs
¾ C molasses
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp baking soda (dissolved in 4 tsp hot water)
4 Cups flour

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar and beaten eggs — molasses — soda dissolved in water. Add flour and spices. Roll and cut in desired shapes. Bake 10–15 minutes at 350. Frost with vanilla frosting.
