Easy Toffee

Ingredients

2 c. Land o Lakes butter (4 cubes) (I used 3 ½ cubes).
2 c. Sugar
¼ tsp. Salt
2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. finely chopped almonds/walnuts/pecans

Directions

Combine butter, sugar & salt. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted. Boil to 285 degrees in temp or a dark amber color. Cover baking sheet with foil and as soon as toffee gets to desire heat, pour into baking sheet. Put chocolate chips over toffee and wait about 2 min. spread chocolate with knife over toffee. Pour nuts on top and gently press into toffee. Put into the fridge to set. Break into pieces and enjoy.
