Red Velvet Cake W/vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

2 ½ cups flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
½ cp milk
1 bottle (1 ounce) McCormick Red Food Color
2 tsp. vanilla

Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
¼ cup butter
2 Tbsp sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla
16 ounces powder sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour cake pan. 9x139x2 or (2) 9" rounds. Beat butter, sugar and eggs together. Add in sour cream, milk, food color & vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Do not overbeat. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake 35–40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
