Hard Tack–cinnamon Candy

Ingredients

¾ c. Karo syrup (corn syrup)
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
Cinnamon flavoring
Red food coloring

Directions

In a saucepan, put syrup, sugar, and water and bring to boil and boil to hard crack stage (use thermometer if desired). When done, take off the burner & add ¼ tsp. cinnamon flavoring and red food coloring. Butter a large cake pan and pour candy on sheet cake pan. Cut into ½ inch strips with scissors. Then cut into triangles while hot. Put into powdered sugar when still warm. You need to work fast because it hardens quickly.
