4 c. sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 c. butter (2 cubes)
2 pkg. of milk chocolate chips
1 ½ c. pecans chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
In a saucepan, put sugar and evaporated milk and bring to a boil and boil to the softball stage. Stirring constantly. (To know when the softball stage is —take a small cup with cold water in it and take about ½ tsp. of the hot mixture and put into the cold water. Feel with your finger and it will set up or stay together and be soft to the touch.) Remove from stove and add butter, chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla and stir. Continue to stir until smooth and creamy. Pour into a 13x9x2 buttered cake pan. Refrigerate. Enjoy!!
