Funnel Cakes

Ingredients

1 ¼ c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
¼ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. baking powder
¾ c. milk
1 egg
powdered sugar
Hot oil

Directions

Combine dry ingredients. Add egg and milk, beat until smooth. Heat ¼" oil to 375 in the skillet. Cover bottom opening of funnel with a finger. Pour ¼ c. batter into funnel. Hold funnel over oil and slowly release finger. Move funnel in a slow circular motion to form a spiral. Fry for 2 minutes until golden brown. Turn once.
