½–¾ lb. browned hamburger
salt, pepper, garlic, and onion
5 cups water
5 cubes of beef bouillon
1 qt. bottled tomatoes
3 carrots cut up
½ cup celery cut up
¼–½ cups lentils
2 cups sliced raw potatoes
½ cup sliced cabbage (if desired)
Sauté, onion and garlic. Add hamburger and brown. Add the remaining ingredients. Cook 20 minutes or so until vegetables are tender.
