Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

½ c. butter
onion
1 tsp. oregano,1 can mushrooms––drained
2 c. raw rice
3 cans beef consommé, soup
2 c. water

Directions

Melt butter in a deep pan. Add onion, oregano, mushrooms, raw rice, soup and water. Bring to a rolling boil uncovered. Cover & remove from the burner. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Also you can turn the oven down to 300 degrees and bake for 2 ½–3 hours so it is ready when you get home from church.
