We used to make this for birthday parties to put in the take home bags
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk or half & half
1 TBS. white karo syrup
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
red food coloring
2 gallons popped popcorn
In a saucepan, mix the sugar, milk, karo syrup, salt and red food coloring. Cook to the soft ball stage (230 degrees on thermometer). Add vanilla and pour over the popcorn. Mix to coat the popcorn and pour the popcorn out onto wax paper to dry. After it dries, you can put the popcorn into a bowl. ENJOY!!!
