Ingredients

1/3 cup soft shortening
½ cup sugar
1 egg
1 ½ cup flour
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp. nutmeg
½ cup milk
1/3 cup butter, melted
½ cup sugar (additional)
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20–25 minutes. Roll in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon & sugar. Makes 12 medium puffs.
