1 lbs spicy Italian sausage crumbled
½ lbs chipped bacon, chopped
1 quart water
2 (14.5 oz) cans chicken broth
2 large russet potatoes, cubed
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups chopped Swiss chard
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Salt & pepper to taste
In a skillet over med high heat brown sausage and drain set aside. In a skillet over med high heat brown bacon and drain set aside. Place water broth, potatoes garlic and onion in a pot. Simmer over med heat until potatoes are tender add sausage and bacon to pot and simmer for 10 min. add Swiss chard and cream to pot season and heat through.
