6 or 7 apples
¾ c. sugar
2 TBS. flour
2 TBS. butter
2 Pie crusts (unbaked)
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
dash of salt
juice from one orange
Make pie crust. Cut, peel, & core apples and fill the pie pan until it is mounded high with apples. When finished, put the apples in a large bowl and add sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt, and mix together lightly. Put the apples back into the pie shell and dot the butter all over the top. Pour the juice of the orange all over the top. Put the top piecrust on with holes for steam and seal the edges. I like to spread milk and sprinkle sugar on top of pie crust. Bake 50 min. at 400 degrees.
