Ingredients

5 lbs. tomatoes (about 20 large tomatoes)
¾ c. sugar
2 TBS. salt
¾ TBS. pickling spice (put in a bag and tied it)
1 large onion
2 TBS. parsley
1 stalk of celery

Directions

Put the tomatoes, onion, parsley & celery through the juicer. In a large pan, add juiced items, sugar, salt, & bag of pickling spice. Bring to boil and simmer for about 1 hour. Pour this soup into quart jars and seal. To one quart bottle: when you serve this soup, cook 3 pieces of bacon and with the grease add 2 TBS. of flour and add this flour mixture to the hot soup. Add bacon piece also. This is also good cold or hot with vegetables cut up small (cucumbers, celery, peppers, tomatoes or whatever you desire). Grated cheese is also good in it. (Makes about 14 c. of soup. Double this recipe and it makes about 6 quarts)
