1 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped green peppers (optional)
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 26 oz. jar Prego Spaghetti sauce
1 2/3 c. water
¼ c. Italian Dressing (optional)
12 oven–ready lasagna noodles, broken in to quarters (if using regular noodles, cook and then cut into pieces)
1 c. mozzarella cheese
Brown meat in large saucepan on medium heat, drain.
Add pepper, garlic, spaghetti sauce, water and dressing, bring to boil. Stir in noodles, reduce heat to medium–low. Cover.
Cook, stirring occasionally, 10 to 15 min. or until noodles are tender. If using pre–cooked noodles, simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover, let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Makes 4 servings, 2 cups each.
