Tossed Layered Salad

Ingredients

1 head of lettuce
onion (if desired)
1 can water chestnuts
1 green pepper diced
Mushrooms
Cauliflower
Radishes
2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. cool whip
2 TBS. Sugar
Grated cheddar cheese
Bacon bits
(Any vegetable you would like without seeds)
(no tomato or cucumber)
1 pkg. frozen peas

Break lettuce into bite size pieces. Layer all these into a 13x9x2 pan. Top salad with 1 pkg. of frozen peas and make dressing of:

2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. cool whip
2 TBS. sugar

Spread this dressing over all of the salad. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. When you serve it, add grated cheddar cheese and bacon bits.

Directions

Serves 10–12 people. Good!!!! (also good with spinach, hard boiled eggs, grated parmesan cheese.)
