1 ½ c. sugar
3 TBS. cornstarch
3 c. boiling water
Mix the sugar and cornstarch together. Boil the water. Add the boiling water slowly into the dry ingredients. Bring to a boil and thicken. Stirring constantly. Take off the burner and add:
pinch of salt
1 TBS. butter
3 TBS. lemon rind (optional)
9 TBS. lemon juice
Mix together. This is good over gingerbread. Makes 3 cups.
